“Take The Statue Down Or We Will”

This says, “Take the statue down or we will.”

If you can’t read the tiny print, the banner behind this plane says “TAKE THE STATUE DOWN OR WE WILL” – a threat of vigilante statue removal not seen since the final days of Saddam Hussein.

It had occurred to me that someone would/could take matters into their own hands and try to remove the Joe Paterno statue, given the strong feelings on the issue.

But it seems possible that an equally if not more passionate segment of the fan base who still supports Paterno would go to the mattresses in defense of the statue. That side of the “debate” is, ahem, feeling rather strongly about things still – going so far as to root for Tim Tebow to rape a child (don’t ask) in response to the renaming of Paternoville.
