Today, the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association voted on the the six person core team of juniors for the Indiana All-Star team.
Inexplicably, 2013 Purdue recruit Bryson Scott was left off the team. Scott is widely considered to be the best junior in the state of Indiana, so his exclusion from the core group is a head scratcher. Two members of the core group are IU recruits, and one is headed to Notre Dame. Who knows if Scott’s commitment to Purdue has anything to do with the decision? It is certainly a curious choice, however.
This isn’t the only “competition” Purdue recruits have had with IU recruits recently. In January, 2012 Purdue recruit Raphael Davis was named the MVP of the “IU Recruit Classic.” They should probably change the name of that event next year.
More info about Scott’s snub from the core team can be found here.
