Meyers Leonard drags Michael Jordan into the muck of the Illinois loss to Northwestern in Champaign:
“It’s human nature,” Leonard said. “People think it’s easy. Come out and play at your best and be the player you’re supposed to be every single time. That’s not the case. Michael Jordan couldn’t even do that.
“At the same time, we have to come out and put teams like that away. Everyone knows we’re better than Northwestern.”
Too bad for Illinois that the standings don’t have an “everybody knows what their record should be” column.
As for MJ, I’m guessing Leonard was talking about him running into this guy.

Hey Meyers – everyone knows that Bruce Weber is another bad Big 10 loss or two away from no longer being a big conference coach in 2012-13 too. But don’t worry, you don’t have to come out and say it. We’ll do it for you.
